The FIH Hockey Pro League is hockey’s annual global women’s and men’s leagues involving the best teams and players in the world. The nations at the top of the tables at the end of the season, having battled it out against all eight teams, will be crowned champions and receive the coveted FIH Pro League Trophy. The league takes place from January to June 2020, with next a change in the structuring of fixtures with teams playing each other home and away in alternate years. Great Britain will start their campaign in Australia on 1 & 2 February, with London playing host to 16 games (eight double-headers) over four big weekends;
New for 2020, each big weekend of hockey has a theme which drives the fun and activities on and off the pitch;
- END OF SEASON CLUB PARTY: Join us for the ultimate end of season party. It’s a weekend geared to celebrate with club-mates, including activity such as club mascot races, crossbar challenges, club anthems, club moments of the season and prizes for the best fancy dress.
- BIG STADIUM HOCKEY: Big Stadium Hockey is back for a whole weekend at Twickenham Stoop, the home of Harlequins. With nearly 12,000 fans cheering Great Britain on last season, the atmosphere was breath-taking. Enjoy live music before and after the games as well as watching the two current Olympic champions play in hockey’s big festival weekend.
- JUNIOR TAKEOVER: Every trip to the hockey is great for families with young children, so join us to inspire the future of hockey with a weekend dedicated to our junior players from around the country. There will be even more fun for the kids on and off the pitch, including interaction with the star players and opportunities to develop new skills.
- OLYMPIC SEND-OFF: Great Britain’s Olympic squads will have been chosen before this fixture and this will be the last chance to see them in action before Tokyo 2020. This weekend will be a celebration of everything related to the Olympics, with some of our famous gold medal winners in attendance, and the chance to send-off our Olympians in style
