Match Report | A tough game for East Devon who were much the better side in the first half. East Devon played a very well organised Exeter University D side but although East lost, they played very well. A very good start from East Devon put Uni on the back foot from the start, East Devon created a number of chances throughout the 1st half and although the score at half time was 0-0, East Devon should have been 3 or 4 goals up. After defending a number of short corners throughout the game, the breakthrough came when after conceding another short corner, Brandon made the 1st save but the rebound fell to one of the uni players who slotted it under an unfortunate East Devon goalkeeper. A little while later after a couple more short corners, East Devon defended the initial shot well but unforutnately for them couldn't clear the ball and so when it fell to the uni forward at the back post he was able to slap the ball into the back of the goal. A very unfortunate result for East Devon who really played much better than the result showed. |
