East Devon 1 Vs University E

A very important result for East Devon against a strong Uni side. 

After some dissapointing results in recent weeks, East Devon really showed what good hockey they can play. They started really well with some good pressure on the Uni side and after a few chances either end, Bob was in the right place to turn in a deflected shot to make it 1-0 to East Devon,

Before half time, East Devons lead was doubled when Mike got into the D from the wing to slot the ball past the keeper making it 2-0. 

Almost instantly from the push back, East Devon won the ball back and with the resulting attack Bob vollied into the goal to make it 3-0 at half time. 

The Uni side started the 2nd half much the better side with a high press and some good closing down meaning it was hard for East Devon to get out of their half at times. 

After some continued pressure on the East Devon defense and after a few short corners, Uni were awarded a penalty flick when Brandon saved a shot from a short corner but the rebound fell to their player 4 yards from goal who flicked it into the leg of Jamie on the line. 

Overall a very tough game with a lot of hard work throughout the East Devon side who gave 110% for the whole game.
