Match Report | A dissapointing result for a strong East Devon team who were hoping to go to Torbay and take all 3 points. East Devon started slowly, allowing one of Torbay's stronger players in the midfield to pick the ball up and run from the half way line into the D, where he slotted it past the keeper into the bottom corner. This seemed to get East Devon playing properly and for the majority of the game it was East Devon creating chances, pressuring and looking like the stronger team. At half time the score was still 1-0 to Torbay but after a few chances had gone, East Devon finally got some reward for their pressure when after some good build up play the ball was squared to Tom Gale who put the ball into an empty net. East Devon continued to press and look for the winner but the Torbay defense/goalkeeper defended well until the end meaning the game ended in a 1-1 draw. |
