East Devon 1 Vs Truro A

A dissapointing result for East Devon who travelled to Truro confident that they could bring back a result.

A poor start from East Devon who were not able to keep possession of the ball meant that after some continued pressure from Truro, Truro were the side to score first with a well worked goal.

Truro then had a couple short corners and a strike from one of the Truro players was unfortunately too hard for the East Devon defence to keep out and was deflected into the goal.

This seemed to wake East Devon up a bit and for the last 10/15 minutes of the 1st half, East Devon definetely started to play some decent hockey, creating a number of chances.

After half time East Devon were looking good and as though they would be able to score with chances falling to the East Devon forwards but unfortunately were not able to take them. This meant that when Truro scored a 3rd from a short corner, it was going to be a tough last 25 minutes.

After some continued pressure from East Devon a well worked move between Mike Vallance and Tom Powlesland, playing passes and 1st time touches to each other created the chance for Tom Powlesland to slot the ball past the keeper low into the bottom corner.

Unfortunately for East Devon they could not push on and find a 2nd or 3rd goal with the final score finishing 3-1.
